Euan is one of an up and coming unstoppable force of jazz talent emerging in Scotland today. Building on the legacy of such luminaries as Mario Caribe, Brian Sheils and Kenny Ellis, Euan is now carving his own swathe through the UK jazz scene.
He performs and tours with many groups such as the Mark McKnight Group, Victoria Fifield's Devotion, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra Big Band, Konrad Wiszniewski Quartet, Colin Steele Quintet, Cathie Rae Band, Alison Burns and Ari Hoenig Trio. Euan also is a member of Rock/Pop/Indie (You know that other kind of music that isn't jazz) group The Northern Appointment.
He has performed across the U.K. and Ireland at all the major Jazz festivals and venues and also Internationally (If you want another long list email). As both a performer and contributer, Euan appears regularly on BBC Radio Scotland's "Jazz House". As an educator he has a small group of dedicated private students and performs workshops around the country along with tutoring and running workshops for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland.
An accomplished composer Euan has released one album of his compositions and has another one, recorded early 2008, with Ari Hoenig, Gilad Hekselman, Martin Kershaw and Tom Gibbs to follow soon. He appears on the forthcoming release from Victoria Fifield's Devotion entitled "Wanderlust" and on Guitarist Mark McKnight's debut album recorded in New York with Will Vinson, Sam Yahel and Mark Ferber.

"...with Scottish bassist Euan Burton providing the backbone, every piece has a sure sense of shape while maintaining an air of spontaneity" THE HERALD
Euan is joined by two of the very best in Scottish Jazz for the festival - Stuart Brown and Tom Gibb. Both these guys have proven themselves as formidable musicians in many different situations.
